Growth, Progression, Evolution, Expansion
βOne can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen, again and again, fear must be overcome again and again.β Abraham Maslow
The Shifting Sands of Confidence
A lack of confidence can stop us from making decisions, trying new things, being true leaders, and even taking calculated risks. It betrays our essence because we lack trust in ourselves, and become stagnated missing out on our own expansion, significant learning, loving, in general we miss out on living our fullest lives.
Parts of a Whole
The endocrine system does a great deal of work for us in a day. The adrenal system has the particularly important job of regulating us through moments and events of heightened arousal. How well our endocrine system is functioning has a lot to do with how we respond to stimulus in our environment and how well we are able to process moments of intensity or stress in a day.
Who Are You?
Where do you live from? Is it from the outside-in (extrinsic) or the inside-out (intrinsic)? In other words, do you think, feel and act because of external factors or do you honour your authentic self?
Trauma in the Body
Our bodies have been adapting over thousands of years to keep us safe and alive. We have specialized functions to help protect us when we are faced with a threat. We can prevent trauma from staying stuck in us by processing it after an overwhelming event takes place.
Understanding Trauma
Understanding trauma can open the door to a pathway for healing. Believe it or not we are all affected by trauma and we all have the capacity to process those traumas and expand our potential.
